In this talk, a 15-year recruiting veteran follows up on their GDC 2024 talk, revisiting some the key steps on your journey to getting employed, and adding some new tactics to make a personal connection and avoid being stonewalled by an AI filter.

The talk provides examples taken from hundreds of anonymized job applications and conversations had with other recruiters, providing insight to how applications are received and opinions formed. New topics covered include professional networking, changing industries/disciplines, and handling successive interviews.
